Der f 23.01 (19 kDa) differs from Der f 23.02 (8 kDa) by two large insertions in the sequence, while the overlapping parts of the protein sequences are identical. The shorter isoallergen (i.e. Der f 23.02) corresponds in its length to Der p 23.01 with 76% amino acid sequence identity.
