| Allergenicity: | Thirty-seven P. acerifolia-sensitized patients with allergic rhinitis in spring were tested. All has positive SPT and sIgE (measured by ImmunoCAP) to plane tree pollen extract. Of those 12 (32%) had serum IgE to natural Pla a 6, measured by immunoblot. Eleven of the 12 nPla a 6-reactive sera also recognized recombinant Pla a 6 in immunoblot. In a BAT assay, basophils from 4 of 5 Pla a 6-sensitized patients could be stimulated by nPla a 6. |
