| Allergenicity: | Three groups of Cannabis-exposed subjects were tested: 1. 60 Cannabis-allergic patients as confirmed by SPT and specific IgE to Cannabis. 2. 10 pollen-allergic patients without Cannabis allergy, 3. 5 healthy controls. In an ELISA with rCan s 7.0101 (fusion protein of maltose-biding protein with the preprotein of Can s 7.0101), 16/60 (27%) cannabis-allergic patients, 2/10 atopic controls and none of the healthy controls had IgE to rCan s 7. In a passive mast cell activation test with rCan s 7, cells sensitized with 4/5 sera from Can s 7-sensitized cannabis-allergic patients, none of 5 atopic control subjects' sera and 1 of 3 healthy control subjects' sera were activated. |
