| Allergenicity: | Five subjects allergic to consumption of sea snails were included in the study, and they IgE to this species and four had reported allergy to Rapana venosa, one was also positive by IgE to molluscan extract. Two individuals without allergy and one with allergy to shell fish were used as negative controls. Two of the subjects were SPT+ in tests at 5 mm from prick to prick tests with muscle tissue of welk.
